Get the Horanghae mug.Kwon Soonyoung, who has a stage name Hoshi that means “Tiger’s Gaze”, a member of the 13-member group Seventeen coined the term “Horanghae” that is a combination of the words Horangi (tiger) and Saranghae (i love you) which literally means “I tiger you.”
It officially started in 2018, yet he started posting about it last 2019 on his weverse post explaining what it means. “Hoshi loves you.”
Consequently, Hoshi’s tiger agenda does not end there. From his horanghae spiel, tiger clothes, stuffed toys, tiger-themed foods, and he also started a paw pose possessing a tiger-look. He even made a song named “Horangi Power!”
In conclusion, Hoshi is a living tiger in a human form.

Horanghae’s well known as it’s made firstly by SEVENTEEN Hoshi. It came from two words that are Korean word for tiger (horangi; shortened as “ho” ) and Korean word for ‘I Iove you’ (saranghae; shortened as “ranghae” ). Not only that, the “ho” in horanghae also means as his name itself, Hoshi. By that case, the whole member in SEVENTEEN also made look-alike “love word” such as Wooahae, Hanniehae, Doahae, and so on.
This happened during latest SEVENTEEN Online Concert “Power of Love” in 2021

Get the Horanghae mug.Horanghae (호랑해) is a term made by Hoshi, a member of the K-Pop boy group SEVENTEEN (세븐틴). Firstly explained from his FanCafe post in June 13, 2019, Horanghae is short for Hoshi + Saranghae (I Love You) in Korean, thus making it Horanghae. Hoshi is well known for his massive love for tigers, so he always used this term while making the tiger claw hand gesture.
