Aloha Blunts

When you arrive at a party and are offered a blunt the moment you walk through the door; this is known as an 'aloha blunt' - as popularised in the Beach Break song 'Aloha Blunts'

Guy 1: "Oh dude! I was at this rad party on the weekend, everyone was super sweet with their pot"
Guy 2: "For real?!"
Guy 1: Yeah I walked through the door and was greeted with aloha blunts!

It’s commonly used by tourists and locals alike as a way of saying “hello” or “goodbye”, but it also means “love”, “respect”, “compassion”, etc. It’s a word that holds high significance in Hawaiian culture.

The word “aloha” is very well-known across Hawaiʻi and even the mainland US. It’s related to the Tongan word “talofa”.
