e-crisis

Existential crisis.

Existential crisis is a stage of development at which an individual questions the very foundations of their life: whether their life has any meaning, purpose or value; whether their parents, teachers, and loved ones truly act in their best interest; whether the values they have been taught have any merit; and whether their religious upbringing may or may not be founded in reality.

An existential crisis may result from:

* The sense of being alone and isolated in the world;

* A new found grasp or appreciation of one's mortality;

* Believing that one's life has no purpose or external meaning; or

* Awareness of one's freedom and the consequences of accepting or rejecting that freedom.

She thinks her life is meaningless and is scared that she's wasting her time with school while she should be having the most physically gratifying life while it lasts. She is having an e-crisis.

i.e.

An acronym for "in equivalence", often used to mean "in other words" or "that is". However, it must be noted that "i.e." can only be used when writing. Never say "i.e." in a conversation, unless you want to sound like an idiot.

Don't listen to those who claim "i.e." comes from latin: it doesn't, quite obviously.

Here is an example of how "i.e." is used in a sentence, i.e., a demonstration of how "i.e." can be utilized in a sentence.

Pioneer of Gangsta Rap. Funded many great acts in rap history (Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, NWA). Had beef with Dr.Dre/Death Row Records in the early 90's. Died of Aids on March 26, 1995.
