Double-Booking

The moment when you are browsing Facebook on your computer, and then reach for your phone and instinctually check Facebook, thus resulting in an awkward, "Double-Booking."

I noticed I was double-booking yesterday as I was updating my status on the computer and liking your photo on my phone!

off-ramp blocking

the practice of some drivers that prevents others from changing lanes to exit a freeway or other high-speed roadway. the blocker is between the car exiting and the actual exit, and must be travelling in the lane furthest right (in left-hand-drive countries only,) and going at the same speed as the exiting car. this action can cause massive amounts of road rage because often drivers take extreme measures to maintain their position or to get off the road. the blocked driver must usually take the next exit, which is no problem in big cities. when out in the middle of nowhere, however, the next exit may be many miles ahead, increasing the feelings of road rage. note: if the exiting driver is trying to get off from the far left lane, he is a dumbass and should have his license revoked. in this case off-ramp blocking has not occured.

bonnie: these people are so rude here!! i was trying to change lanes so i could get off at 76th street, but some dumbass in a kia spectra stayed alongside of me for miles! i couldn't get off until national avenue!! what a bastard!!
connie: yeah, it's a real problem on the new bypass. lonnie calls it off-ramp blocking, but i call it sheer stupidity.

rock blocking

to block someones enjoyment of music, seeing it, playing it, or hearing it.

I play drums and sometimes do jobs where other drummers will sit in on my kit. One night at a quiet Jazz gig, this jackass sat in and played super loud, repositioned the drums and Beat on them, denting the drum heads badly!! Rock Blocking!!!! I played with a pop band at SXSW at the Apple store in 08. We didn't have a bass played so the Crazy band leader said I shouldn't play because it would be hard for the band even though they had drums set up already, sounded like an excuse not to pay me for the show too!!!! Rock Blocking by your own band mates!!! I have played shows where someone had pissed off the sound guy and he decided to make it impossible to hear ourselves on stage. He also made us sound like shit!! Rock Blocking!!!

Spock-blocking

When your friend- who looks strikingly like Spock from Star Trek- engages in behavior similar to cock-blocking. Often in brutally failed attempts to hook up with your girlfriend, or prevent you from doing so.

John: Dude, did you get any action last night?

Mike: No, Andrew was fuckin spock-blocking me again.

John: Lame.
