A somewhat offensive term when used to a white person talking to a black person. It can be understood as racist. Though in the dialect of Ebonics, blacks say "nigga" in almost every other word. It has evolved into one of the most vague meanings I'm the English language. Not to be confused with Nigger, or Nigglet.

Get the Niggamug. A mispronunciation of/slang for "nigger." Has the exact same meaning as the word "nigger" regardless of the race of the person saying it.
- "What's up, my nigga!"
- "Look at all those niggas."
- "Nigga, please."
- "Nigga, shut your mouth!"
- "Don't trust those niggas."

Get the Niggamug. It's a word. We all know what it's derived from. We have become desensitized about it's meaning and we now try to use it as a term of endearment; which it is not, and will never be. Rappers use it in songs and suburban white kids sing these songs uncensored; yet in the presence of black people they edit the word out. What is this telling us? It's telling us that people have not forgotten the true/original meaning of the word. Using it within any race just shows complete unintelligence. What is the point of continuing to use a word that is derived from a period of time when our ancestors were in chains? I understand that we are trying to change the meaning of it by making it a term of endearment, but it isn't working and we just need to get past the used of the word.
I am a black female and if a white, black, hispanic, asian, or any type of person in the world calls me a nigger, negro, nigga, or whatever...problems will ensue.

Get the Niggamug. Hmm...haven't you people, in your pro-black words, noticed that it's racist to limit the uttering of a word to a skin color?
Heh. Interesting. So, after all, if a black person calls me cracker, it means nothing, yet if I call him a nigga, like he calls himself all the time, it is all of a sudden offensive? How foolish. The one who is offended by words is the one who is truly a fool.
