Cope Sip

The act of taking a sip of your drink while being questioned or pressed. This generally indicates that the person being questioned or pressed is nervous about the situation and is trying to buy some time to come up with a response, excuse, or explanation.

The Cope Sip is even more obvious and hilarious when the person doing it is sipping on an empty drink.

Richard took a cope sip on his empty seltzer can when the interviewer asked him why he would purposefully sabotage Phil’s computer with a keylogger.
