I am interested in the furry fandom. Furries are so cute in my opinion. (Definition source: Wikipedia)

Furry fandom

One of the most complex fandoms with both a good and a bad side… I for one, as a furry, do not like how every furry-hater’s definition is “God’s mistake”. It’s just a hobby, and all hobbies have those few exceptions that tie it to the max.
Furry fandom is complex and is underrated

Fandom Police

Outsiders who join a fandom/hobby with the sole purpose of policing the behavior of fans in said fandom/hobby and not because they enjoy the hobby themselves. They can commonly be seen trying to shame people for engaging in things that are normal for the fandom and aren't even offensive and harmful, in order to make them "normal" according to their standards. They often engage in brigading to bully people to be more "normal" according to their standards. They like to ragebait fans on purpose and play the victim when the fans get angry or call the fancops out for their behavior. They also like to attack the pre-existing fans by belittling them for their hobby. They also always appeal to triviality.
Fan: wtf happened to anit bro cant even have a waifu anymore
Fandom Police: “Waifu” talks in 2025. We can watch anime without all dat extra weebo shit😭.
Also Fandom Police: Said weebos found this tweet and calling me slurs very on brand for the social rejects

Fandom Colonizer

Outsiders who join a fandom solely to change it to fit their standards without actually enjoying it. They ignore pre-established rules and expect others to follow their new ones without question. They attack fans and creators for anything they deem "abnormal" and engage in brigaded attacks against those who don’t conform. They have no problem threatening violence or sending death threats, believing their actions are justified.

Despite pretending to be inclusive, they reject any culture outside their own. When called out, they always play the victim and claim it's proof the fandom needs "fixing." They manipulate online engagement by botting Facebook likes, Twitter shares, and Reddit upvotes to create a false sense of support.

Most emerged during and after the 2020 pandemic when lockdowns gave people too much free time. While some pre-2020 cases existed, they were mostly confined to Tumblr. They can be identified by posts mocking fandom norms that receive thousands of likes, yet most replies disagree, exposing the botting.

When confronted, they typically:
- Play the victim
- Use ad hominem attacks against fans
- Trivialize the situation (often exposing their hypocrisy)
- Threaten violence against those who disagree

Fandom Colonizer 2 with Powerpuff girl pfp: Notice how all the people getting upset at this have little anime girls as their pfp
Fandom Colonizer 3 (with their entire profile dedicated to otaku hobby): We should eliminate “otaku” as a concept, it’s holding anime as a medium back
Fan: Shut up tourist
Fandom Colonizer 4: This ain’t an anime ret**d I’ll knock you tf out
Fandom Colonizer 5: what a loser THIS GUY STINKS PEEEEEYUUUUUU
Fandom Colonizer 6: Imagine getting this mad over fucking cartoons LMAOOOO (He was policing and attacking people over said cartoons)

Baby's first fandom

A stupid fucking retarded response to basic dissent, because what is being criticized is prevalent in fandoms.
*The comment is attached to unironic, non-satirical, way too decent comic art of Optimus Prime passionately cuddling Allied Master computer.

Person: Can you NOT FUCKING SHIP Allied Mastercomputer and Optimus Prime TOGTHER, Them literally just condoning each other's existence IS THE BIGGEST FUCKING MISCHARACTERIZATION TO EVEN REMOTELY EXIST, YOU STUPID FUCKING BITCH.

Chronically online kid: Baby's first fandom 💔, (Yap nonsense about how every community has shipping and its an ancient thing idgaf.)
