Term coined by creative boutique Doppel & Ganger in 2008 as a way to refer to very high quality, visually stimulating imagery (be it photography, illustration, cinematography, sculpture etc.) Production value as well as content are two important factors in determining if something qualifies as 'Eye Caviar' in today's visually competitive world.
Even though the term may be used interchangeably with "Eye Candy", the term Eye Caviar only refers to imagery of the highest artistic, creative and content standards; and not to something that is only "pretty to look at".
