filmzoned

The state of being held in regard by someone you deeply admire as a merely a friend-acquaintance specific to a mutually-similar interrelated working role, or roles, within one or more film productions only, instead of being their romantic love partner or deeper sexual interest in real life. The best case scenario of becoming “filmzoned” is when a real friendship emerges off-stage, regardless of whether or not the original intentions for entering into the friendship remain or transform.

Person 1: I had a brilliant time working on the film with you. I’m glad we are such good friends!

Person 2: I agree; I feel we share a very special, intimate connection. Remember the time we passionately kissed in the film we did together? That was really something, wasn’t it?

Person 1: Oh my gosh! Yes!! What a beautiful scene! I will always cherish these friendly memories of our dear friendship, may we be forever friends and friends always. You know, I’m always Here To Co-Star for you if you find another big-budget production. Anyways, I’ve got to run: the director and I have a hot date this evening! I have to say, his box office returns aren’t the only big thing about him that I enjoy. Ciao!

A filmtard always has their phone out and the video camera on. They fancy themselves as photojournalists and rarely obtain consent before filming people. When they post to social media it is always to embarass or shame the person filmed.
