and emo are both alternative rock but aren't the same music or fashion.

-5. Emo is a subculture with dark clothes, bright accessories (arm sleeves, necklaces, piercings), dyed hair, eyeliner, skater shoes and music that's too expressive to be accepted by other subcultures and doesn't sound Goth.

Get the Emomug. "Being emo" can be assumed as wearing a black hoodie and ignoring all social interaction. And that might be true for some people. Being emo is not a bad thing, because you don't have to deal with bitches and fake friends
