Get the Little Mehmug. Refers to unmarked soldiers or operatives, often associated with Russia's tactics during the annexation of Crimea in 2014. These were armed individuals in military gear without insignia, used to create plausible deniability about state involvement.
"During the 2014 Crimean crisis, Russia deployed Little Green Men to seize key positions, creating confusion about their true identity and avoiding direct confrontation with Ukrainian forces."
Person 1: "Did you hear about the situation in Crimea a few years ago?"
Person 2: "Yeah, the one with those mysterious soldiers who showed up out of nowhere?"
