This started during a game of jackbox rap battles in which dev said the verse “go home to alex and go do your aleks!”. this sparked an intense debate that ended with fire and fury, and has been a running gag in various media ever since. There has also been the possible explanation, called the “Lewis Paradox”, which theorizes that they are one and the same because they both have to do with math and are cared for deeply, which makes them essentially the same. This has attracted the attention of many Nihilist philosophers who believe that the question point out the meaningless and sameness of humanity as a whole. Due to the unsolved answer to the question, it is often asked if one could “explain it again” to recall certain details of the question. It is possible that we may never know the answer to Alex Vs. Aleks.
