Bricks-and-mortar friend

A real, tangible friend, that you hang with and go out for beers with, as opposed to a virtual online friend like that person you never talked to in high school that you now comment back and forth on social networks like Facebook.
I'm sick of sitting on Facebook for 4 hours a night and commenting on peoples' semi-witty status updates. I need to get some more bricks-and-mortar friends and get out of the house.

Phantom Drunk Friend

A person who only calls you to hang out when they want to get drunk. After 3 hours of drunkeness, you are best friends; and then they disappear until the next drunken session is in order.
Hey, I didn't know you knew Ashley. Yeah, I hang out with her but only on the weekends; she's my phantom drunk friend.

Fair weather friend

A disloyal friend. Someone who will befriend you when it’s beneficial or convenient for them, but will ditch you the second you’re no longer useful. They’ll hang out with you when nobody else is available. But will ghost you when they find better company. They’re basically a phony friend who are only interested in you when it’s in their favor but couldn’t care less about you as a person.
Hey Steve, why do I only hear from John when he wants a favor but is never available when I need something?

Simple, he’s a fair weather friend.
