the time when you look to be present but when in reality you're far from the actual place in thoughts often thinking about moments that can never occur.

mezza la strada

Mezza la strada is an italian phrase meaning middle of the street. But can be used as a negative statement to someone being stupid, or a person who is what we call "shot".

For example when somebody says something stupid or does something really dumb italians use the phrase minchia tu sei mezza la strada.

Also means you "stray" from the typical "gay" stereotype.

I am "stray",the general public would not assume I was a gay man because I look and act "straight."
