Due to the town bring know for bells, it's highschoolers are known as "Bellringers". East Hampton has a Facebook page known as "Let's Talk East Hampton" of which people just argue. The Facebook page has also been known to censor accounts who they disagree with them. The towns relax spot is an irradiated lake known as Lake pocotopaug where the lifeguards don't do their job correctly. During July, the town holds its annual old homes day festival and parade. It is also home to a miss USA and one of connecticuts Governors, O'Neil. The Redneck population is just a bunch of kids who wear camouflaged NAPA auto parts hats and drive lifted trucks. They only call themselves redneck because they mow their lawns without mommys help and drive ATVs.
