Jiibayaabooz

Jiibayaabooz is known as the “Spirit Rabbit” or “Ghost Rabbit”.

He’s a trickster spirit in these traditions, deeply connected with the spirit world (manitous), and teaches humans through dreams, vision quests, and purification ceremonies.

In some stories, after he died, his spirit became the “Chief of the Underworld” and brought music, chants, and poetry to his people.

During the storytelling night, our guide told the tale of Jiibayaabooz, the Spirit Rabbit who guides souls between the worlds.
