The Telltale Treatment

A practice in video games that involve the player's choices being able to influence the game and the character's fate. The Telltale Treatment is where the characters whose status (dead, alive etc) is influenced by the player's choices but the character in question ends up dying on later on in the story either way. This is named "The Telltale Treatment" as it is most common in Telltale Games' games such as The Walking Dead.

Despite saving Nick from his demise in Season 2 Episode 2 of Telltale's The Walking Dead, Tom was pissed when he found a zombified Nick in Episode 4.

Inspired by the fact that whenever Taylor Swift collaborates with another female artist she only lets her do background vocals.

Person 1: Hey, I heard taylor's gonna be in a song in big red machine's new album!

Person 2: Yeah, but they give her the Taylor Swift Treatment lol

Shock Treatment

Slang for ECT or Electro-Convulsive Therapy, a modern of version of the mental health procedure that hopefully shocks a patient out of their madness. It was graphically depicted in the movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" starring Jack Nicholson. The modern procedure involves sedatives and anti-convulsive drugs to prevent injury to the patient and typically the procedure lasts less than 2 minutes. Used as a last resort treatment, common side effects include memory loss.

My friend went to get Shock Treatment and now she forgets what we did together.
