A common food services business tactic involving minimally cleaning dishes and cookware in an effort to save time while still appealing to the customer. The strategy is to quickly wipe down dirty dishes enough to appear clean from a far distance. A general rule is no more than 5 seconds per dish/utensil.

Jimmy Johns' used quick cleaning tactics in order to provide a 'freaky fast' food delivery service. As a result, many customers would go on to suffer from food poisoning and other food-borne related diseases.
