snakebite

Term used to describe sudden loss of control coming from the Dodge Viper (primarily 1st gen). First gen Dodge Vipers had a short wheelbase at 96" and a lot of low end torque, it also had stiff suspension and tires were nowhere near as good in the early 90s as they are now. This is generally the cause of sudden loss of control in these early Dodge Vipers.

I was coming out of turn 3 when suddenly I got snakebite and ended up in the grass.
