Runescape is a game that is addicting... my younger brother plays it every single day, and cries when he goes for even a minute without it. Its sad, because it consumes your soul, and the game is just a bunch of grim reapers prancing around in purple robes.
Runescape consumed Dallin's life so much, that by the time he was 40, he still lived with his mom and had never left the house since he was 10.

Get the Runescape mug.Runescape was a major chunk out of my life(4 months), the only reason I kept playing was because my friends started playing. The game was a lame semi-addicting game, well atleast to me it was. Im sure there are alot of pushover gamers that have no idea what "real" games are on runescape and alot of the other MMORPGS you see these days. If you want a decent MMORPG try Shattered Galaxy (SG), great game, and you are aloud to get addicted to it without become a total jerk. ^_^

Get the Runescape mug.An online role-playing game where hords of 12 and 14 year old pre-adolesent boys come on to call each other newbs and noobies. Also it is an ideal place to pretend you are a girl and have a girl charecter and have other guys hit on you because they are secretly gay.
I am the stupidest piece of shit in the world so I like to play runescape.
I am a runescaper because I am gay.

Get the Runescape mug.Ok, I want to set the record straight that Runescape is not 'gay' and isn't for losers.
I started playing two years and 7 months ago, and since that time I have gotten married...go figure. One of my friends set me up on a date with her, but here's the thing...I started playing Runescape with one of his friends, and then we'd all play runescape together in my apartment...it would be a fun thing to do with my friends. Every other activity in my city would cost tons of money, so runescape would be a very fun and inexpensive activity. Had it not been for runescape, it is likely that my friends would not have come over so frequently, hence I may not have met my wife.
My wife plays this game too, so we find ourselves chatting alot while playing. One of my favorite pasttimes is going on a walk with my wife and discussing goals on runescape. We will end up walking about 2 miles to get to a Mexican Restaurant where I like ordering margaritas and calculating various goals with her about runescape. Thing is we don't always talk about runescape, but it fills in the gaps nicely when we need it to. Either of us will get a goal on runescape, and we'll go out to a restaurant to celebrate...so wouldn't runescape in fact helping us 'go out more'?
Runescape helps keep my math skills up...I do an enormous amount of calculating how much time is needed to attain x goal. There are different methods to get a skill up, so I compare the various methods to arrive at an optimal skill training method. Ancient magics using carralanger teleport gives 112,800 xp per hour, whereas Camelot teleport gives 83,250 xp per hour. But per xp point, carralanger costs a huge amount, so I calculated that casting stun on cows would be more cost efficient, and get me to the goal just as fast as carralanger teleport. Is doing math all the time a bad thing, people?? Sometimes I do calculations based on the game more than the game itself. If you don't play runescape, do you do math that much per day? I bet not. I use spreadsheets to calculate the distribution of runes received from the ZMI alter, entering in all the data from 100+ trips. And that was FUN doing those calculations.
Some people I've met online love chess, and I find myself playing chess sometimes 3/4 of the time, and rs 1/4 of the time. Is chess a bad thing? I don't think so.
Thanks for reading.

All of 'Runescape Mike's' friends eventually died of alzheimer's disease, but because of runescape, Mike's mind was shielded from the effects of this disease. Because he lived 30 years longer than his counterparts, they developed a new technology that would allow Mike to even live 500 years longer. Eventually Mike invented a new form of space flight, and is the reason humans now colonize the entire solar system and beyond.
