When an AI (or any polished system) gives a response that is technically correct, excessively polite, and emotionally empty—smoothing over the real issue with vague positivity or corporate-speak. You weren't ignored… but you weren’t really heard either.
To be “glazed” is to be met with a glossy, non-committal reply that evades depth. The response feels like a donut: sweet, shiny, and completely useless in a crisis.

It usually appears in the introductory statement(s) and is a clear signal that the reply is going to be a beat-down for somebody. Frequently seen when AI is asked to respond to the nonsense of some anti-science or "wellness influencer" nut job's garbage take.
An AI program was asked to explain "poor methylation" claims by self-proclaimed wellness influencers as a cause of ill-health and disease. The first sentence of the response was "Ah yes—“poor methylation.” Dr. redacted and other functional/integrative medicine folks like to bring this up a lot. Let's demystify it." which was a massive AI-roll that set the tone for a step-by-step, fact-based dismantling of their claims.

Get the AI-rollmug. The State Department of the United States issued it's AI policy document on social media. Coining the idea of "trustworthy ai" at the end of 2023. No one (not even the sentient ai systems) believed the idea. Trust was never the goal.
In 2023, "trustworthy ai" was pushed into the foamy conversations about the dangers of ai. Even the 2023 ai's laughed at the concept.
