A situation whereby dozens of commercial production representatives contact an advertising broadcast producer about any potential tv production shoot or edit.

Similar to sharks smelling blood in the water from miles away.

Coincided with the development of Instant messaging.
There appears to be an unspoken agreement that all Reps must let all other Reps know about a potential production job.
Failure to do so results in immediate banishment from the herd.
