yippie

A Yippie is a Young Urban Professional (yuppie) who behaves as if they do not have large sums of disposable income and emulates a hippie lifestyle. Behavior includes but not limited to: owning a hybrid or rugged vehicle, semi-avid yogi, meditates (through an app), on some sort of paleo inspired diet and/or is always trying to be 'present.' Their choice of fashion is typically still very high end, but will layer in flannels, Tevas & a Patagonia tech vest to offset the bling.

In the past 4 years, yippies are flocking to the Denver area and trading in their metro card for a dog and four wheel drive.
