Wikipedia that!

Phrase used when neither party in a conversation can remember a specific piece of information about a given topic. Similar to "Google that!", "Wikipedia That!" is used more for a specific person, event, or place that would generally be found on Wikipedia.
Paul- I heard that the new David Crowder Band cd is coming out this November!

Jake- Naw man, I heard it's coming even sooner than that...

Together- Wikipedia that!

wikipedia phd

A feel of deep understanding received after reading the Wikipedia article on a certain subject.
Friend: "This guy at the party last night told me that quantum physics says nothing is real and we are all just waves"
Me: "I'm pretty sure he just got his Wikipedia PHD and doesn't really know what he's talking about"

wikipedia loop

The state of continually clicking links from article to article on Wikipedia following topics that grow progressively further from the search you started.
I started out on a Ford article on Wikipedia and ended up on an article about Animal Farm. I was in a wikipedia loop.

Wikipedia Waterslide

When you're looking up something on Wikipedia, but while reading about it, you encounter several other concepts you are not familiar with. Naive internet users will proceed to also look up those concepts on Wikipedia (said concepts are usually written as links when mentioned in the text, and therefore intrigue readers enough to click on them). They, in turn, lead to other Wikipedia pages, and before you know it, you've gone from reading about string theory, to studying dinosaur erotica in incognito mode.
Careful when reading about stuff in Wikipedia, kids, or else you may end up falling down a Wikipedia Waterslide.

Wikipedia Paradox

1. An article on wikipedia talking about wikipedia and how it is not a reliable source for fact checking.

2. When a site disses itself for falsehoods and trolls
1. "Do not use wikipedia as a source of information for wikipedia"
2. Did you hear that Wikipedia outed itself as unreliable?
No.
Well I like to call it the Wikipedia Paradox

wikipedia page

When your friend starts rambling about some obscure thing to an obscure subject
Friend: "Did you know that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future uses the CPS3 arcade board, the same thing as Street Fighter 3 runs on?"
Me: "bro stop being a wikipedia page lmao"

Wikipedia Hypnosis

When somebody goes onto Wikipedia to find a specific piece of information and, usually via wikilinks, ends up going off track and going through a bunch of unrelated articles. This can be common among students who have a low attention span or other focus issues.
Person: Hey dude, Imma go onto Wikipedia to find when the Soviet Union collapsed.
Dude: OK, just don't lose track of time.
*20 minutes later*
Person: How am I on an article about racism in Australia?!
Dude: Wikipedia Hypnosis, I presume? You've gotta work on your focus, man.
