Booty beats are pieces of music, mostly from the urban genre, that are typically associated with dancing to. The term 'booty' refers to the bottom of a female, which they shake while listening to the music, thus gaining the term 'booty beats'.

Music from an urban genre usually has a strong bass beat on every line. This is why they are called booty beats.Every time there is a beat, the 'booty' must shake.
