Thing that kids do to escape school and reality

Teacher: Would anyone like to explain me this.
Kid says nothing

Teacher: you

Kid: what

Teacher: what were you doing

Kid: telling you to suck deez nuts.

Whole class laughs

In terms of reality the kid was daydreaming. Isn't clear and obvious that kids do this to escape reality.

Daybreaker

Something that helps those long 8 hour days staring at a computer screen working on that WENUS report.

A video, news article or traveling gypsy show outside your office that makes the day tolerable by giving you a few minutes requiring no concentration what so ever. Baby Boomers used to have a daybreaker at the water cooler talking about their golf game and some dude's ugly kid.

Dude, I was just about to zone out when my BFF sent me this awesome daybreaker link to a pygmy and a rollercoaster.

Every now and then, I search the web for a daybreaker to wake up the staff. Best yet was some guy suing BMW for the motorcycle seat giving him a 20 month woody.

Daydread

A version of a daydream , only instead of fantasizing about when you get off work or a love interest or the clouds floating by your office or classroom window your stuck dreading the real situations you'll have to deal with later i.e breaking up , dentist visit, undesirable social event etc.

My daydream of being Scarlet Johannsen's boyfriend was rudely interrupted by my daydread of realizing I have to go to dinner at my in-laws...

Daycreeping

Combination of "daydreaming" + "creeping". When your mind wanders off in a public place and you stare blankly at someone or something without noticing you're doing it. Others will see you as creepily staring, even if you have no intention of creeping.

I was at the library today and fortunately caught myself daycreeping before they noticed.
