Synonym for "upskirt", the act of "upskirtng". The term entered common usage on Twitter after Sir Christopher Robert Chope OBE MP a British barrister and Conservative politician struck down a private members bill by shouting “Object” without sufficient time in the session remaining for a further proper vote.
The MP for Christchurch also used the same Commons session to delay another government-backed bill, which would have made it an offence to attack police dogs or horses, or prison officer dogs.
Both were among a series of private member’s bills being given their second reading in the Commons on Friday. If no MP had disagreed they would have passed without a vote and been given a date for their third reading.
Subsequent public scruitiny of the MP's voting record, unanimously negative character portrails across social media, as well as in the press were unflattering to say the least and only helped to cement the usage into common vernacular.
