A scenario that can occur while playing Dungeons & Dragons or another ttrpg when a player jokes aloud, and unknowingly guesses what the DM is planning. It doesn't have to be a wendigo per say...

DM: *Planning a Psych-Horror game with a Wendigo* You all see a figure lurking in the woods...
Player 1: *who just watched a wendigo movie and is completely joking* Oh shit! It's a wendigo!
DM: Uhhh... How'd you know?
Player 2: Wait really?!
