Skater Poser 

Note: A Skater Poser is NOT someone who sucks at skateboarding and/or is just beginning.

A Skater Poser is someone who claims they skate, but doesn't really. Reasons for someone being a Skater Poser include popularity and getting girls. They are usually seen carrying their boards around (some don't even own a skateboard), saying they can do tricks, and sitting around at the local park, insulting actual skaters.

*Real Skater falls doing a kickflip to nosegrind*

Skater Poser: Dude, you suck! I did that first try yesterday!

Real Skater: Let's see it, then.

Skater Poser: A cop took my board away.

Real Skater: Here, use mine.

Skater Poser: Uh, I have to, uh, check my, uh, house. I think, uh, I left my, uh, front door open.

*Skater Poser runs away*

East Coast Skater 

An east coast skater is anyone who lives in a state along the atlantic ocean. East Coast skaters usually look up to Bobby Puleo, Anthony Pappalardo, Fred Gall, Gino Iannucci and other east coast legends. East coast skaters are known for their creativity and actually skating street and not just skating in the middle of a california school yard on a really sunny day

Skater Girl  

A skater girl is one of the following two:

A female who skateboards for the genuine love and fascination of it

OR

In an attempt to meet guys who skateboard.

Some females don't mind being called "skater girl" while others do. However, the reality of the term is that it separates females subtly from what they are. Skaters. Unlike males who skateboard, females are called "skater girls" rather than just skaters. The reason for this would be the male domination of the skateboarding. That still does not take away from the fact that skateboarding has and always will be something females can excel in just as much or more than males do. When looking back or taking a current look, we all need to remember women have existed within the skateboarding scene since it's beginning. So when looking at the archetypes of the sport, don't just consider Jay Adams, Tony Alva, or Duane Peters, think Peggy Oki, Lauren Thornhill, Kim Cesepedes, or Stephanie Person. They all had a place in the scene, and they all paved a way for the females to come. Thank them, respect them, be aware of them, and most of all shred with them.

skater 

A skater is a human being who enjoys riding a skateboard because it is fun. a lot of skaters could be classified as 'punks' but this is just a stereotype. true, some skaters so wear tight jeans and a pair of emericas, but a lot of them just dress 'normally'.

there are vert skaters and street skaters. vert skaters skate in halfpipes. street skaters skate stairs and ledges and such. street is currently more popular than vert, mainly because it is easier to do. not to say that it requires less skill; I mean that street requires no ramp, therefore it can be done in more places that vert.

skateboarders are often said to be druggies, but this is simply not true... True skateboarders have no use for drugs. It's all about landing those tricks! landing a trick is the ultimate high.

I could say a lot more but i don't have a lot of time to write so I'll end it hear.

skateboarding is not a fad, it's a way of life.

while i may not skateboard every day, i do it for the right reasons... not to get girls or to cash in on the rise in popularity that skateboarding has suddenly taken.

Someone who participates in the fun, fun, but also frustrating sport known as figure skating.

Not to be confused with synchro or ice dancing

I cant think of an example so I'll just write figure skater.

skater muscle 

muscle that is visible, but doesnt look like the person is ripped. the person usually doesnt have to work out a lot, but you can still see the muscles. usually found in skaters.

poser skater 

a poser skater is someone who pretands to be a skater. they are usually people that go to skateparks all the time but just sit on the benches with their board trying to look cool. they usually dress and act like the stereotype but when it comes to actually getting on the board they have no clue what they are doing. you can usually tell if someones a poser skater if they say they can do a boardslide and they bottom of their deck isnt even scratched. it actually doesnt matter if you suck or if you just started but when you say you can do things that you have never tried before because they look "easy" then your a poser. it also doesnt really matter if you wear skate brand tees if you actually like the style just dont wear them if you think it makes you look cool.

poser: omg no im not!!!!!111 ive lyk sk8ed lyk all my life, i kno lyk all the kewl tricks and stuff dude!!!11
skater: oh yeah do you know the difference between a frontside 50-50 and a backside 50-50?

skater: then do a frontside 50-50
poser: lyk okaaay!!!11

(poser goes over to a legde, but since they dont know how to even do an ollie, they jump of the board onto the legde and since they are too "Kewl" to use a helmet, they bash their head into the cement and get knocked unconcious)
