1. To be bamboozled into following a hyperlink to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" 80s music video on YouTube. Typically found on Internet discussion forums where the unsuspecting user clicks on the aforementioned link, cleverly disguised as something pertinent to the non-Rick-related discussion at hand.

The exact origins of this practical joke and subsequent naming are unknown but "rickrolling" first appeared early to mid May in 2007.

A prank that originated in 2006 with the unexpected appearance or audio of Rick Astley's 'Never gonna give you up'. It is mainly used by teenagers and some adults too(in the 21st century).

Dean- Hey, do you wanna see a cool video?
Mark- Dean, you suck at 'rickrolling' people, I don't wanna fucking see it.
Dean- It's not a fucking 'rickroll'!
Mark- Haha, nice try. You can't rickroll me!
