group psychosis

When the mentality of one member of a group cause the rest of the group to follow suit. The behaviour shown is usually anti-social, brutal and mob-like.

A perfect example is in the film Stoic, staring Edward Furlong. 3 guys in a prison cell fall into the same mindset, playing off each other, and torment, rape and torture their 4th cell mate, leading to his suicide.

Guy 1 "I think we should bum Guy 3 ragged."
Guy 2 "I dunno man, that's not right"
*Guy 1 starts bumming Guy 3*
*Guy 2 joins in and skull fucks Guy 3*
Guy 3 "So this is group psychosis?! How fun! Let's swap ends!!*

Hydrogen psychosis is a fictional ailment acquired by SCUBA divers in the Wes Anderson-directed movie The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. It is apparently based on the very real health risk nitrogen narcosis, caused by the effects of relatively fast, relatively great changes in external pressure on the human body.

An Obligatory Psychotic Jackass refers to somebody who is self-elected as the rude, obnoxious and possible bully of the school. An example of this is Logan Echolls off the fictional television show “Veronica Mars”

VERONICA MARS: And let’s not forget Logan Echolls. Every school has an obligatory psychotic jackass. He’s ours.

YOU: "Oh my god! Look at that guy! He's a total obligatory psychotic jackass!"
ME: "Yeah, he acts like early season one Logan Echolls!"
