pat's law

Pat's law is simply this, when conducting a project, it is alway the last thing that goes wrong. and on this last miniscule task, you always spend 60% or more of your time on it. Making the last item in a string of items the last possible screw up. This also leads to PAT'S SYNDROME
"You have to drill five holes, the first four were easy and no problems occured. The last hole your drill bit breaks, you replace the bit, and then your battery goes dead. you replace the battery and the motor burns out." this is pat's law

Patsy Cline

B: Virginia Patterson Hensley September 8th , 1932

Soulful Country Singer from Winchester, Virginia, who blazed the trail for Country Crossover Music in the late 50s and early 1960s. Her mesmerizing voice and stunning good looks helped bring Pop fans to enjoy Country music styling, and she is the most sucessful female Country Crossover singer in recorded music history. Cline's music evokes feeling and heartache, as her most famous tunes "Crazy", "I Fall To Pieces", and "Sweet Dreams", represent, but her recording career, although brief, ran the gamut from sheer Pop to Rockabilly to Country and Western Swing to Gospel and all things between. Patsy Cline was not a songwriter although penned one song "Stranger In My Arms", under her birth name Virginia Patterson Hensley. She was known to play guitar and piano as well. Her life was cut short on March 5th, 1963, in a plane crash- along with 2 other Grand 'Ol Opry Stars and her manager. Patsy's music remains tragically hip, and unlike other singers of that time, her voice has a modern appeal that is timeless, and her deep rich tone is a contrast to the flat twangs made popular by some of the other Country Music Artists.

patsy

American slang for a gullible and weak-minded person. A patsy is a fool, usually a person that has good intentions but is deceived easily. The term originated when Irish immigrants came over to the USA, during the potato famine in the 19th century. (i.e. patsy = St. Patrick) and loads of Irish people entering the working class, were easily gullible and duped by Americans crooks/fraudsters when they settled there. Another term that isn't used very much and is more rare is, "paddy". Americans were mostly Protestants too, so calling Irish people patsy was more insulting of their Catholicism than their actual ethnicity.

It is no longer derogatory against just Irish people or religion in the USA, and is now usually used in modern society by American dads to scold their sons. It's almost like saying "Don't be a gullible pussy".
Snake Oil Sellsman: hahahaha! Those damned patsy's were duped again by our quack cures, and making us richer. It's a good thing they decided to come here, trying to take the easy way out, instead of staying in Ireland.
