Receiving a slew of notifications for one or more pictures/videos/etc that one is affiliated with on Facebook. Caused when other people tagged in that picture/video/etc keep commenting. Hast the tendency to clog up e-mail inboxes and results in a pileup of red notifications in the lower right hand corner of the facebook screen toolbar. Can be very annoying or amusing, depending on the individual.
I woke up this morning to a notification nightmare when I saw that 50 new comments had been posted about the candid picture I snapped of Derek cheating on Hailey.

A ghost notification is what happens when you click a notification, and it takes you to the appropriate place, but the notification still stays there, so you click it again, but nothing different happens. You get your hopes all up for another notification and it's just another dumb ghost notification.
