nanguin

A term originally derived from a corruption of the word penguin. Nanguin is used mainly as a pet name, thereby equating a person to a cute and cuddly penguin. The word can, however, carry different connotations under different circumstances. The word nanguin has also been known to be used as a sort of drunken battle cry. The effect is startling and disorienting to the unsuspecting sober observer yet outrageously hilarious to a fellow drunken person.
