Abbreviation or acronym for "girlfriend", a highly coveted and sought-after female partner in a romantic relationship. Often used as shorthand in online chats or while playing games. GF's can, often times, be sparse in online gaming communities which are typically male dominated and filled with neckbeards. Most of the time, a GF is referred to as being someone to hang out with IRL, but that doesn't rule out GF's that exist solely in an online relationship.
