Gentrification

Share definition
A term used by those who are intellectually impaired to try and negatively label the positive progress which is renovation of local infrastructure in an urban area while still having access to high end amenities like Wi-Fi, Double-shot Mocha Latte's and of course, social media apps.
"The Gentrification of this neighborhood is just another example of white privilege and Republicans way of trying to push blacks out of neighborhoods."
"Yeahhh...or the building is falling apart and just needs some rennovating..."

A puritan conservative who pretends that is a 'hipster'
I was a gentrifier in Williamsburg. Like the maligned hipsters, I used my parents’ savings to secure a place to live. I wanted grocery stores that carried organic products like Horizon milk for $6 per half-gallon, and overpriced but aesthetically satisfying coffee shops like El Beit. I needed expensive boutiques, otherwise I would have felt bad for having left Manhattan.

gentrifuckation

Basically sexile, except on a massive level. When a couple is fucking in a room or space with lots of people (ex: hostels) to the point that everyone leaves in disgust. Similar to gentrification, except with sex. Happened to me the other day in Rome.
Jim: Hey Sally, why is everyone hanging out in the lobby? It's like 4 in the morning.
Sally: Some drunk fucks were banging in our room and no one wanted to hear them.
Jim: Damn, that's Gentrifuckation in action!

There used to be white neighborhoods downtown, but gentrifugal force pushed them to the suburbs.

Fashion Gentrification

An idea that the rising popularity in thrifting will increase the prices of second hand clothes in less wealthy areas, making it less affordable for the people that live there.

This may be true to an extent, however the increase in price would only be on high branded or popular items and doesn't take into account that not every item in store is branded, or that every person living on the breadline wants to be rocking a 90's Tommy grail.

This idea is shared amongst people that don't have any knowledge on the true scale of second hand clothing and think it will mean people will not be able to afford clothes anymore or that there is not enough to go around. This is completely false.
"Oh my god you got that Supreme piece second hand!? What about the poor people? That's Fashion Gentrification!" - Somebody who's jealous of seeing Tik Toks of people sharing their thrift hauls.
