Ecstatic dance is a method of self soothing whose roots can be traced back to greek mythology. The idea is to lose yourself to the dance and modern interpretations of that tend to include a few rules. No shoes, no cell phone, no drugs, and no talking. The general music is often a mixture of world, house/trance musical styles, and the people are hippies. You can expect them to be wearing harem pants and have a good handle on energy and its properties.
