Basting

The act of delivering an absolute montage of compliments to the desired subject. Often commonly done by method of awkward slam poetry. The best way to do this is to over exaggerate the flattery to the point of absolute cringe and disgust.

The exact opposite of roasting.
Hey bro, you're going to get a bad basting if you keep being such a good friend.

Basting you is my calling in life; how could I neglect the fact you've always been there for me through thick and thin; I need you in my life desperately, so much it hurts me deep down.

banker bashing

The act of blaming investment bankers for all of society's woes and publicly chastising them for their greediness and stupidity.

During the financial crisis, banker bashing was championed by the media and political elites, who have been leading a campaign to limit their extravagant bonuses. Before paying back TARP funds, bankers pretended to care, but have since returned to their greedy ways.
"I did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of, you know, fat-cat bankers on Wall Street", said President Barack Obama, a typical example of banker bashing.
