You’ll leave the program with a lot less practical experience than if you did CBYX (AKA YES for white supremists or pussies) or NSLI-Y (YES Abroad for elitist state department kids). As long as you don’t get kicked off the program for drinking or boning your host uncle, you’ll have a fun year. Lowkey though, the state department is just paying you to get traumatized.
