Melee Player is a person who plays Super Smash Brothers. Specifically Super Smash Brothers Melee, a launch title for the Nintendo Game Cube which came out in 2001.
Melee Players typically gravitate towards this game because of the high "skill ceiling" when in actuality, they use cheap exploits. Going so far as to want a specific controller that has a specific flaw that lets them play better.
Melee Players are most often blinded by the nostalgia of Melee. This also occurs in Brawl Players.
Melee Players tend to not shower. Usually opting for the "cologne" to mask their unhygienic lives.
Some Melee Players, in their older age, tend to... let's say, do "stuff" to minors.

Man, I wish those greasy Melee Players could grow up and leave Super Smash Bros Melee Competitive in the dust. The game is 20 freaking years old!
