Hick

Generally poor whites with little or no education. The majority of them live in rural areas or the poorest sections of the city. Most are considered harmless and are completely clueless on what's going on around the world.

They live in trailer parks, drive trucks with different colored panels or primer stains, love WWF and NASCAR and have 5 kids before the age of 25.

Look at the hicks honey, we must be near Kentucky.

Noun: (BS moshup of hick and hillbilly) They generally consider ‘townies’ only slightly better than tourists, and don’t count folks as townies til they’ve lived there at least five years. Gutted & skinned their 1st small mammal by the age of ten. When at public events, males tend to wear their local uniform – whatever combination of cowboy boots, hats, denim & bigotry is endemic to the region. This is the stereotype which is ‘ironically’ referenced when hipsters style themselves for Sunday BBQ at places like Acme, the Bottom of the Hill, Zeitgeist, and your backyard.

The hickabilly vibe was so thick out on the porch, I wasn't sure if I'd have to gnaw my own arm off to escape, or if I'd be tossed to the curb to the cries of "Utlander!"

1. a noun; A derogatory term describing or referring to a person from a rural background or community. The noun hick usually describes lower class whites raised in rural areas on trailer parks or hog farms. Generally used more for Midwesterners and people from southern Ontario than Southerners (see: redneck)
General defining characteristics of a hick: Protestant upbringing, usually Baptist; racist and sexist opinions; does not attend collage ; dumber than a post. They often have poor grammar and drive pickup trucks. They care very little for the environment and often do not realize that their livelihood farming, is dependent upon a healthy and stable environment. However they are not solely farmers. In fact most hick's live in rural areas and live off welfare because they are too stupid to know how to farm.
They can usually be identified through the usage of the following words. Y'all, Yous (They fail to recognize that you can be both plural and singular) We's Thems, etc.
Thus they have poor comprehension of vocabulary and basic tenants of the English language.

Kerri Lee Smith: Thems people from the city are such butt fucking idiots.
Me: I can't believe how stupid my roommate is. I cannot believe she just said that yet spent all weekend being fucked in the ass, thus failing to see the irony of such a statement.

hickdaddy

A derogatory slang term for white males with shaved heads and arm-band tattoos raised in rural areas such as Salinas, California, usually within trailer parks or hog farms. Hickdaddies sometimes find their way north and can sometimes be seen in the remote parts of Tigard, Oregon.

He is such a hickdaddy. Look at him drive away in his jacked up truck.
