To completely and utterly mess something up beyond recognition, often by overcomplicating it, making it far worse, or ruining it through ineptitude or a misguided attempt at improvement. Implies a catastrophic failure or a situation gone horribly wrong due to one's actions.

Etymology/Background: Thought to have originated from a specific individual named Ivy from the Bloom, known for their uncanny ability to botch tasks, or possibly from a situation where something vital was "strangled" or overtaken, much like ivy can strangle a plant or building.

Such a pretty, pretty girl. She has these round button like features. She's so sweet and kind. She will always listen, and tries to help. She HATES drama, but finds other people dragging her in. She doesn't deserve that crap. She is fierce but will always give you a hug. Best shoulder to cry on, comfy one if I may add. Ivy is a person that is usually shy when you first meet her, but if you befriend her she brings out her weird, fun and enjoyable side to be around.
