Owe it to the people

You don't owe it to the people when you're voting to block the release of the Epstein files, do you? Because if you want to talk about how Republicans are unilateral voting... IN THE SAME WAY, you have all of the Republicans voting to BLOCK the release of the Epstein files and the Democrats are all voting to release them. Isn't that interesting? You don't owe THAT to the people. But you do owe not negotiating with terrorists? Fantastic.
Hym "I mean it looks to me as though you and the democrats are working together to stonewall on both issues. You're awful selective when you owe it to the people and when you don't owe things to the people. It's also weird to me that you are spraying the Whitehouse with a hose. Is there a fire? I mean, if you have, like, and electrical fire or something you can't spray water on it? Why is the Whitehouse on fire? I don't know what's going on here but you SOUND pretty insolent. That's insolence and owing things to people selectively. Another drone strike for your insolence! Drone strike the capital again! The west wing this time!"

old people's self-reward

A slang term for extra (hours of recreational) screen time that seniors can easily have as a form of self-reward; whilst children, teenagers, and younger adults are subject to more stringent behavior requirements to obtain the same duration of extra screen time due to the presence of third-party authority (parents, teachers, institutions, and employers)
It's wild how my grandparents can rack up hours of screen time as some kind of old people's self-reward, while I have to jump through hoops just to watch an extra episode!

maple syrup people

A reference to the strength and tenacity of Canadians, who appear meek and forgiving. In reality, when Canadians fight for a cause, they fight with intelligence and ferocity that overwhelms the enemy. This occurs in war, in business, and in politics.
Many of the war crimes in the Geneva Convention are based on actions of Canadians during World War I and II. They weren't war crimes at the time, and allowed Canada to win battles. They are now. Don't mess with the maple syrup people.
