Swedish (hippies) couple traving in the desert with 1 tree in sight. So they drove straight into it, out of ignorance to get the road speed limit reduced at the sacrafice of 1 tree to save many more

3 second rule

Originally used in basketball, often termed as lane violation.

For modern day use, it's for when you drop your food on the ground, but you say " 3 second rule!" as an excuse to say that your food remained clean.

The Nukem Rule

The Nukem rule states that is is a bad idea to pre-order a game before its release date has been confirmed. The game could be delayed, or outright cancelled, making any deposit worthless.

This was brought on by the game Duke Nukem Forever, witch was delayed for over a decade.

"Hey man, have you pre-ordered Prey 2 yet?"

"Not going to bother, I follow the Nukem rule."
