A huge insult. Someone who tries way too hard to adhere to all of the indie trends. You know, those kids you want to punch in the face at shows. (Or it refers to you and your friends and you don't know it. Expect a black eye from yours truly if you're ever standing in front of me at any show.)

That kid is so fucking scene. He went to see Modest Mouse after hearing them on the radio, promptly bought one of their shirts, and wore it while still at the show. Now he claims he's loved them ever since Lonesome Crowded West. Let's kill him.

Those kids who think they're grown up, but aren't. They usually wear shirts and pants that are way to tight for them, and have a cigarette, fake id, and/or booze in their hand.

At the moment, it's the majority of kids between 15-23, just go to a high-school and find the most annoying kid you can.

being scene is not only a fashion statement, it's also a lifestyle. being scene means:
001. girl- short, choppy, black or bleach blonde hair.
boy- same except greasy and in eyes.
002. you go to shows, not concerts.
003. you love dinosaurs and robots.
004. girl- you have a headband to match every outfit.
boy- you must wear girl pants all the time.
005. you hate good charlotte and other poseur bands.
006. you often refer to yourself as gangster but NEVER consider yourself a wigger.
007. you have a myspace
008. in your myspace pictures you are making obscene faces and looking away from the camera.
009. you use words like...heart instead of love and woot when you are happy.
010. you often put x's at the beginning and end of words..ex)i xheartx that.

scene girl 1: "Oh my god. Before we go to the show, i need to iron on this cute dinosaur on my shirt. i heart from first to last."

scene girl 2: "i heart them too! woot! do you have a green headband i could borrow? i dont want to lose scene points, yo."

Scening

a bunch of pricks who think theyr better than you, most of them anyway.... There are a few scene kids that can get along with the other 3/4 of the populace, but not many, and you shouldn't call them scene because they are actually cool/like good music/don't ruin things but ppl call them scene anyway for reasons I don't understand...
