scungys

Australian slang for (?male) underwear enclosing the genitals and buttocks. Largely functional in use, rather than decorative. Possibly a merging of the words 'scummy' and 'undies'. To be seen in one's scungys by females is embarrassing. The word also encompasses swimming briefs, when worn under boxer-style swimwear.

Jus' gunna get inta my boardies mate. Keep an eye out for sheilas, ay? Wouldn' wanna get caught in m' scungys.
