2. Silent film actress, Alma Rubens, who was a well known snowbird, ruined her career because of her addiction to Cocaine, Morphine, and
Heroin. She was admitted to several sanatoriums to rehabilitate, but relapsed every
time. After being arrested for trying to smuggle
drugs from Mexico, she fell
ill and died at the age of
33.
