id-ternet

The internet,basically social media in particular. A place where the worst aspects of human nature can run free and unchecked under the *guise" of anonymity.

Named after the "id", the psychoanalytical theory of Dr. Sigmund Freud which deals with the primitive instincts of humanity particularly SEX and AGGRESSION residing in the human subconscious. In a nutshell, all those impulses that a rational sane person keeps bottled up under the surface & a less ration, altered(see drunk, Ambien influenced, etc), or thoroughly unsocialized/unsociable motherfucker lets slip at key moments or on a regular basis when placed in front of a digital device.

A. "I got torn to pieces on (_____ fill in the blank with social media platform) because I a.) voiced an OPINION b. showed pictures of my kids, pets, favorite eating establishment c.) showed pictures of myself in a bathing suit!"

B. "What'd you expect?! It IS the "id-ternet!!"

crocodile ID

To check the sex of someone when gender is questionable. As did Crocodile Dundee in the 80s movies.

I saw this "woman" at the club last night. I was going to give her the Crocodile ID but she left with some dude. I guess I will never know if it was a man or woman.
