The term actually originated from a small nut in the south that is very dark and has a hard shell. It is called a niggernut and due to the apes err I mean Africans skin tone resembling this dark nut, the slave traders started to call them niggers.

An ancestor or simian from the most resource rich continent on Earth, Africa. These simians still reside in mud huts in their homeland but have been known to imitate humans in advanced nations. They can be clever and are known to attack in packs at any time. In most urban areas, they live in public housing and rely on narcotics to assist in their day to day living standards.
