The state of being when you are so tired to have lowered inhibitions and thought processes due to lack of sleep. Very similar to being drunk.

Sleepopotamus

Typically a grad student who sleeps until 3 or 4 in the afternoon on weekends, after having averaged only three hours of sleep a night during the course of the previous school week. Sleepopotami tend to congregate (often in each others beds) and multiply at prodigious rates immediately following final examination periods.

Jon: Have you seen Bill lately?

Jane: No, not since the Torts final. He's been staying up til 6am and sleeping in til 4 in the afternoon.

Jon: What a sleepopotamus.

Sleepydrunk

Sleepydrunk is a term which applies when you have reached that state of consciousness in which you are so tired (exhausted, sleep deprived, etc.) that you begin to act drunk. Usually begins occurring after 36 hours without sleep. It can also occur when you only get a few hours of sleep a night for several nights.

Pete: Hey man wazzup?
Joe: Dude, Pete are you drunk?
Pete: Nah, jus' haven't slept in few days...
Joe: You're slurring your speech and stumbling around. You must be sleepydrunk
